Toyota has presented £5,000 to the Play and Recycling Centre in Derby.

A promotional campaign to tackle waste by boosting the number of items donated for re-use in five London boroughs is being launched by the London Re-use Network (LRN).

Swindon businesses will be encouraged to save money and support charity by reusing and recycling at a presentation next week from Scrapstore, one of the town’s leading environmental projects.

Community Interest Company Scrap Shack is to offer work-based activities to adults with learning disabilities, helping them to build skills while supporting the growth of the business. 

Swindon Scrapstore extends opening hours in response to greater demand.

The Yeast Scrapstore in Glastonbury are having an Open Day on Saturday 5th April.

The Big Lunch is the UK’s annual get-together for neighbours, an idea from the Eden Project made possible by The Big Lottery Fund.

The Wiltshire Scrapstore, based in Bowden Hill, was awarded £49,975 from the People’s Millions, a grants lottery fund run by the Big Lottery Fund and ITV.

An event was put on allowing people to discover creative ways to use their scrap at Oxford’s first “swap’n’fix” in the city’s town hall.
